What You’ll Need to Do: 2s5x1y
- Measure the elastic to your head and cut to that size. Make sure it’s a close fit so that it won’t slip off.
- Cut out leaf shapes in the felt, just enough to line the elastic. Get a few different colors of leaves.
- Line the elastic with the leaves. Make sure that the leaves overlap so that the elastic is completely covered.
- Using a needle and thread or, if you know how to use one, a sewing machine, sew the leaves onto the elastic. Do a few at a time to make it more manageable, but don’t forget to make sure the leaves overlap.
- Once the leaves are sewn on the full length of the elastic band, sew the ends of the elastic together.
- Yay! Go out and celebrate the new season with your new headband.
You can also use a hot glue gun to attach the leaves to the elastic. It may not be as stretchy or sturdy, but it will be quite a bit easier, especially if sewing is a little intimidating.
