By: Max Cannon

Every monthĀ SonyĀ andĀ MicrosoftĀ release a slew of "free" gamesĀ on their respective platforms if you are already paying for an online subscription for either company. You don't need the newest console to take part as bothĀ PlayStation PlusĀ and Xbox's Games With GoldĀ offer games on both Xbox 360 and PlayStation 3 (and even PlayStation Vita.)

The New Games of PlayStation Plus 6250s

Starting Tuesday, December 5thĀ you can get these games for free if you have a PlayStationĀ PlusĀ subscription.

  • Darksiders II Deathinitive EditionĀ (PlayStation 4)
  • Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary LegendsĀ (PlayStation 4)
  • Syberia CollectionĀ (PlayStation 3)
  • Xblaze Lost: MemoriesĀ (PlayStation 3)

Here's what PlayStation had to say about their big headliners on PS4:

"Become Death, the most feared of the legendary Four Horsemen, in Darksiders II Deathinitive Edition. The Deathinitive Edition includes all DLC, alongside updated graphics rendering and reworked game balancing. It is instantly playable and sure to make this a Deathcember to .

In Kung Fu Panda: Showdown of Legendary Legends, face off alongside or against Po and other Kung Fu Panda characters in up-to four-person battles in the iconic Kung Fu Panda universe. This is the perfect game to bring families together for some friendly rivalry during the holidays."

Darksiders II DeathinitiveĀ EditionĀ puts players in the shoes of one of the four horsemen of the apocalypse for aĀ Zelda-esque adventure with an M-rating (you'll need a parent to play this game.) Kung Fu PandaĀ also takes inspiration from a Nintendo property which is immediately noticeable by itsĀ Smash Bros-like visuals. And making the leap from last week, the M-ratedĀ Until Dawn: Rush of Blood is still around for PlayStation VR.

Xbox - December 2017 Games with Gold 5p1w6r

Warhammer as a series seems destined for these monthly programs andĀ Vermintide,Ā an M-rated first-person shooter, will fit well on the service. The game is also bringing some Xbox One X that'll showcase native 4K visuals for those with a fancy pants TV.Ā Child of Eden was a Kinect heavy game from Ubisoft but Xbox's official description makes it clear that as a backward compatible game you'll have a great time with a controller.

Tales from the BorderlandsĀ was last week's Telltale game and this week the developer is sticking around with their take onĀ Back to the Future, this is a family-friendly adventure but critically it is certainly lower on the spectrum than other games from the company. The final game,Ā Marlow Briggs and the Mask of the Death, is a third-person hack 'n' slash game with an M-rating, so middle of the road reviews aren't the only reason you may stay away.

My Winner This Month: 261tx

Just like last month, there isn't really an amazing lineup from either side, I suppose I'd give the edge to PlayStation but only becauseĀ Kung Fu PandaĀ interests me with its visual style and gameplay similarity toĀ Super Smash Bros.
