- Bobby pins.
- Wire.
- Wire cutter (fingernail clippers work well too).

- Hold the bobby pin with the flat side facing you.
- Place a 20-inch wire through the bend of the bobby pin and cross the two ends of the wire over each other.
- Cut the ends of the wire so the lengths are even (about 10 inches each).
- Thread a single rubber tip of the bobby pin.
- Wrap each wire end around the bobby pin several times to secure it.
- Once you've made this simple beaded bobby pin, experiment with different bead shapes, color combos and designs.
